Please arrive on time and ready to take pictures to make the best use of your time. I try to capture both candid and posed pictures. Generally, I will place you in positions, but this sometimes leads into more natural situations once the “shot” is over. Most people have a tendency to stiffen up a little when the camera is on them. My best advice is to relax and try not to pay me much attention when I’m not giving guidance. Sometimes the candid shots become people’s favorites because they look relaxed. We are programmed to look at the camera and smile whenever its on us, but try to avoid this impulse. I will be sure to get plenty of pictures with everyone smiling at the camera!
Also, if you have any favorite poses that you’ve seen or something comes to mind that you would like, feel free to suggest them. I won’t be offended and after all this is your session. I want you to get the pictures that you want.
Most importantly, have fun!
After your session is over, I will take your photos and back them up in two separate locations. I will then begin the process of editing the photos to enhance their look. This process is quite time consuming, but I will generally have your proofs ready for viewing within a week’s time. Once your proofs are ready I will upload them to a password protected gallery where you can view them and place your print order. Once your order is placed, your pictures will be sent to a professional photo lab for printing then be mailed to you. You can expect to receive your prints within 1-2 weeks after placing your order.
